Now that a Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes PC version has been announced, players can drop using their emulators. EA promises this native PC Client will include many benefits, including seamless cross-play.
EA states that the SW: Galaxy of Heroes PC version allows users to ‘seamlessly play between handheld and PC without missing a beat.’
It’s no surprise that the development team is working on a PC Client. More mobile games are now targeting multi-platform releases, and a good portion of the playerbase is already playing on PC through the use of emulators.
Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes is also one of the biggest mobile games on the market, with over $1.2 billion in lifetime revenue back in 2021. A native PC client is a great way to bring in some returning players and hit an all-new market.
Here’s what will be in the PC Client:
- Support for various resolutions
- Keyboard + mouse support
- Better framerate
- Anti-aliasing options
- PC Quality of life changes
- Seamless cross-save/progression
The PC Client was originally announced on the Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes official website. There is no specific release date set, aside from ‘later this year in 2024’. The announcement is already being met with a positive reception by fans within online communities.
