Following an outage over the holiday weekend, the Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online servers are back up. So, you can grab your staff or unsheathe your swords again and get back to questing!
The servers for both of Standing Stone Games’ titles, The Lord of the Rings Online and Dungeons & Dragons Online, were unavailable over the weekend. The developers promptly apologized for the inconvenience and kept the community updated on the server’s progress.
Issue for both games’ data centers occurred on March 30th around 9:45AM EDT. The team was quick to inform the player base on X (formerly Twitter) that they’d be working on a fix over the holiday break.
After days of hard work, both games are now live and fully functional—it’s no April Fools’ joke. As of April 1st, 11:30AM EDT, you can get back to questing and adventuring in LOTRO (or Dungeons & Dragons Online)—whichever fantasy world tickles your fancy.
If you’re a huge fan of Lord of the Rings Online, the developers have quite a few updates in the works. Stay updated on all things LOTRO and MMORPG news by joining our weekly email newsletter today!
